Michael Stephen Usondu Hudson studied at Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom before being invited to study in Belgrade, Serbia where he was briefly mentored by Rian Johnson who is known for writing and directing; Knives Out (2019) and Star Wars; The Last Jedi (2017). He has also been mentored by Krzysztof Zanussi who is a multiple award-winning writer/director who has most notably won Cannes and Venice film festivals top honours, and Aleksander Sokurov who has won top honours at Cannes, Venice, and Toronto most notably.

Following his time study in Serbia Michael returned to the United Kingdom where he spent the following years working as a director, cinematographer and camera operator on a variety of short films, feature films, documentaries, music videos and television programs around Europe for companies such as BBC, NBC, Rai, Arte and Reuters.
After moving to Russia Michael wrote and directed his first 2 features films which are set in Vilnius, Lithuania and Lahore, Pakistan.
